From May to October (you are welcome to double check opening hours on our website and Social Media pages) L’Arte del Gelato opens its seasonal Gelato Cart at the very heart of the prestigious Lincoln Center New York. Our cart is located right in the main square and it rejoices of the beautiful fountain water-games.
The ensemble of buildings and public spaces of Lincoln Center are the product of a group of prominent architects including Gordon Bunshaft, Eero Saarinen, Wallace Harrison and Philip Johnson. Lincoln Center has become an icon inextricably linked with New York. Its Central Plaza, North Plaza, the conversion of 65th Street from a service corridor into a new central spine, the transformation of three blocks of Lincoln Center’s frontage at Columbus Avenue and eventually, Damrosch Park, are a urban solution that provides an unmistakable destination in town. To those who are familiar with Italian Architecture, it recalls the futuristic rarefied atmosphere of the EUR neighborhood in Rome, still more delicate.
Fully named Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, it houses nationally and internationally renowned performing arts organizations including the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, and the New York City Ballet. Juilliard School of Music also became part of the Lincoln Center complex. Being the quintessential center of Arts in New York, the Lincoln Center sounds as the perfect location for the “arte del gelato”: their dedication to the harmony in music and dance is for sure an echo to the delicious harmony of taste and ingredients of our gelati and sorbetti. What’s better than enjoying a pre- or after-show sweet treat or sun-bath with a fresh cono or coppetta by your side?
